coaching for the newly promoted · highland beach, fl

they promoted you for the work. so why does leading the work feel like a trade you were never taught?

Nestor Advisory is a one-on-one executive coaching practice for directors and VPs in their first eighteen months at a new altitude. We treat leadership the way a maker treats a craft — learned slowly, by hand, one engagement at a time.

what we practice

three disciplines, held to one standard

No frameworks sold by the pound. Each engagement is built around the person in the chair and the people who depend on them — assessed honestly, shaped over time, and finished when the work is sound.

01

one-on-one executive coaching

A six-month engagement of fortnightly sessions with the same principal from first call to last. We work the real material — the decision you keep postponing, the room you lose, the direct report you cannot reach — not a syllabus.

02

360-degree feedback assessments

Confidential interviews and instruments gathered from chair, peers and direct reports, then read back to you in a single sitting. You leave with an unvarnished portrait and three things worth changing — not thirty.

03

leadership transition programs

A structured first-120-days program for the newly promoted: who to meet, what to decide early, and what to leave alone. Built so your first quarter sets the tone rather than spends it.

before you commit

the questions directors actually ask us

on value

is coaching worth it when I'm already performing?

You were promoted for being excellent at the last job. The new one is run through other people. Coaching is where you learn that trade before a quarter teaches it for you — more expensively.

on time

how long is an engagement?

Coaching runs six months, fortnightly. A 360° takes about three weeks end to end. The transition program spans your first 120 days. We do not sell endless retainers.

on who

who will I actually work with?

The principal who takes your first call is the one in every session and the one who reads back your 360°. Your story is held by one set of hands, start to finish.

on the 360°

what happens in a 360 assessment?

We interview the people around you under confidentiality, pair it with a validated instrument, then sit with you to read the whole portrait aloud. Themes, not scorecards.

on discretion

will my employer or team know?

Nothing leaves the room without your word. When a sponsor funds the work, we agree the boundaries of what's shared before the first session — in writing.

on fit

what if it isn't the right match?

Every engagement opens with a fit conversation at no charge. If we're not the right bench for you, we'll say so and point you somewhere better. Craft only works on the right piece.

how an engagement unfolds

slow-made, step by step

01

the fit conversation

A no-charge call to hear what you're carrying and decide, both ways, whether this is the right bench for the work. Honest if it isn't.

02

the reading

We gather the 360° — interviews and instrument — and read the portrait back to you, naming the few themes that actually matter.

03

the work

Fortnightly or weekly sessions on live material: the decisions, the rooms, the people. Practised between sessions, refined in them.

04

the close

A review of what changed and what holds without us. We finish when the work is sound — not when a retainer renews.
